The Uruguayan farm and sausage company, La Constancia, now part of the Vall Companys group of companies, the second largest pork producer in Europe, has undergone a significant transformation in its operations since the implementation of DaMap.
We interviewed Elbio Rossi, Administration and Finance Manager of La Constancia, to learn how DaMap has positively influenced their financial processes.
According to Rossi, “DaMap has enabled us to improve our bank reconciliations, especially for our main customers, the supermarket chains, and to reconcile our accounting records with the e-invoices received from suppliers, giving us security in the integrity of our financial statements.
We inquired about DaMap’s previous challenges in its bank reconciliations and it reveals that closing these reconciliations, identifying outstanding items, and doing so within reasonable time frames, was its main challenge.
Incremental incorporation of records with large transaction volumes:
“We have incorporated in a first stage the bank reconciliations, in a second stage the reconciliations of our main clients (Supermarket Chains) and finally the control of the CFE received with our accounting records, which has substantially reduced the human time dedicated to perform reconciliations that are now performed in DaMap”, says Rossi.
Impact on Productivity:
La Constancia has experienced a substantial reduction in the time dedicated to these tasks, achieving integrity and security in the information of its monthly financial statements.
To conclude the interview, we asked Elbio Rossi and DaMap users for suggestions to improve the user experience. La Constancia’s success story with DaMap highlights how financial process automation can boost efficiency and informed decision making in large organizations.
